Meshes - Low Poly Game Assets

I was hired for a couple of years to design and produce meshes as well as take designs from the first game and update them for Void Destroyer 2. A sequel to an Indie Space Sandbox game by Iteration 11 on PC.
The brief was to keep the poly count  low allowing many ships to be on screen at a given time and for the frame rate to be maintained at a high level. The lower poly count also allowed more faceted, angled designs which enhanced the cel shaded look that had been decided on before I  joined the project.
During my  time on Void Destroyer 2 I designed and produced dozens of assets for several factions within the game story  ranging from one man fighters and drones all the way up through different ship classes to huge spaces stations and bases. As well as asteroids and various debris.
Another factor in the workflow was to introduce as much modularity as possible to allow designers to take existing classes of ships and break them apart and reassemble them as a cost-effective way to creatine multiple variants based on my work.
